Student teams will be leveraging these skills in solving open-ended challenges based in science, technology, the arts, engineering, math and service learning. Competitions will begin at 10:00 AM at the UMW athletic complex in Dillon, Montana.

Elementary through high school teams have been working for 3 to 6 months to create unique solutions to one of six open-ended challenges. This year's solutions will include: team built stages designed to move a team member while showcasing two acts that incorporate technical effects, secret missions using research on encrypting and decrypting secret messages, team created performances about the loss of a specific color, improvisational skits based on a randomly chosen story prompt, testing structures made of balsa wood and glue, and performing a team created fable about a community service project.

The public is invited to come watch these creative solutions. Teams from Bozeman, Darby, Dillon, Frenchtown, Hamilton, Helena, Livingston, Manhattan, and St Regis will be competing to advance to the Destination Imagination Global Finals tournament at the end of May.
